Blogging on Twitter – Fast & Easy!
This morning I feel yucky in the throat area. As I sit with my lemon tea, I thought I would add an update about my writing ventures. I seem to have taken to the micro-blogging on Twitter more so than actually blogging. The 140 character limit is very encouraging. Plus you get more feedback. LOL!
ROMANTIC SUSPENSE. My manuscript When Rain Falls is officially with my editor, Robin Caldwell (jstandard on Twitter). She’s been a great encouragement to me the past few years and I’m looking forward to her edits on my first attempt at Romantic Suspense. It only took me two and half years to get the plot together. I learned a lot about writing from that novel and had definite sense of “sweetness” when I finally typed THE END.
COZY MYSTERY. Right now, I’m working slowly on my final (sort of) revision of Deep Fried Trouble, the first book in the Eugeena Patterson Mystery series. I plan to get this cozy mystery edited before the end of the year as well. I really enjoy jumping inside the head of a woman thirty years older than me. She says some of the craziest stuff, out loud. Will I be that bold when I get to be sixty, who knows? I wrote the rough draft for this one in three months. It just flowed and I love writing in first person.
NANOWRIMO. I started a rough draft for the National Novel Writing Month. It’s the second book in the Eugeena Patterson Mystery series. I started off with a bang! I’m really loving the opening chapters for this series. Unfortunately, then I fizzled around the third chapter, with a mere 4100 words total. The characters have been talking, but because I’m working on the first cozy mystery, I don’t think it’s quite time to jump into the future. I’m still going to try to write some more for this cozy before the end of November.
There is another Romantic Suspense I started last year. I know I’m sounding crazy, but the characters have been talking to me too. So, sometime next month I might pull out the binder and read back over the first ten chapters I have already written.
I’m not really sure which of these two writing projects above I will take on completing next. I’m sure as the holidays approach and I get more time off from work, I will know by the character yelling the loudest. I’m not crazy folks okay. They say crazy folks think their normal. LOL!
If you are not following me on Twitter yet, you can go to twitter.com/cookieaisle. I guarantee you, I’m more active there and now that I think about it, I probably do say some crazy stuff. Out loud. Sort of.
