I’m working on my current work-in-progress. It’s a cozy mystery and right now it’s a stand-alone book, but I can foresee a series with Miss Eugeena. Who? A few years ago while jotting some ideas in my journal, a character sketch for Miss Eugeena started to form. From that moment, I started contemplating writing a novel for the first time.

In Heavenly Places, Treva Langston has always felt inferior, thanks to her mother. She at least found her worth in a successful career; well, until it was gone. Now her life has suddenly been turned upside down. Without her high-powered job, she has returned with her family to her hometown and to all the memories of heartache she desperately fought to escape. Worse, she’s near her mother again, who hasn’t changed one bit. Beset with feelings of unworthiness, she’s filled with despair until her sister coaxes her into a women’s home Bible study. Though Treva resists and quits a couple of times, she comes to learn the importance of family, the blessing of friendship, and the powerful truth that conquers a lifetime of lies.
So what do readers think about Heavenly Places?
