remembertoforget Remember to Forget
by Deborah Raney

With her transportation ripped from her, Maggie Anderson turns a car hijacking incident into an opportunity.  Stuck in a horrible relationship for years, she decides to make a run for it.  She journeys as far away from New York as she can, eventually finding herself in Clayburn, Kansas.

Fresh out of money and not a clue of where to go next, Maggie spends the night at a Bed and Breakfast Inn, her goal, to continue traveling west. Between the Claus family and Trevor Ashlock, she begins to envision starting  a new life in Clayburn. The only problem, from the moment Maggie left New York, she’s covered up her trail with one lie after another.  It seems romance is in the air with Trevor, but there’s no way Maggie can move forward. She’s been hiding a secret, and day by day its getting more difficult to keep up with her false identity.

If you’re looking for a tender love story that inspires, this is a wonderful read. Maggie is trying to start life over and so is Trevor who has experienced painful loss. Deborah Raney impresses upon readers how God provides second chances when we least expect it.

I loved the small-town setting and the warmth generated from the residents toward Maggie and each other.  This is the first book I’ve read by Deborah Raney and I’m looking forward to reading more of her women’s fiction novels.  Check out the second book in the Clayburn Series,  Leaving November, in March 2008.
