I have joined a couple of online writing groups this summer. I also decided to do invest financially in my writing career. The American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) has been the most exciting decision I’ve made in the past week and well worth the $40. There are well-known published authors and many unpublished authors in this group. What’s motivating is how everyone is so willing to share their experiences. Between the books I’m reading and the emails, my little brain is trying to obtain a lot! :)

The ACFW offers one of the biggest conferences for Christian fiction writers. Everyone has been talking about the conference going on in Dallas, September 21st-24th. I’m aiming to go next year.

Another conference I want to add to my travel wishlist is the Greater Philadelphia Christians Writers Conference. I’m on the east coast so this would be a conference I could drive to in a day. This one covers fiction and nonfiction writers. While I’m concentrating on my fiction project, I still have some nonfiction ones on the burner.

I recently purchased a new car, so after the payments start I will have a better idea of my budget for traveling out of state. So far on my calendar:

If you know of any other conferences in the Southeast or the East coast, drop me a line in the comment box.
